This new normal we are all facing has changed how we, as Realtors, are serving our clients. We have implemented many new procedures and options to insure everyone’s safety. We work with each individual client in ways that serve them best. The following are a few of the many options available to help our clients feel as safe as possible.

 

Online Property Search

As always, we share our listings on several online home search websites including Realtor.com and Zillow. Your agent can also set up automatic notification to your email when properties matching your criteria hit the market. You can also search on our new website www.ohiosedgerealty.com for properties and a list of all of our upcoming open houses. We also have many helpful resources to help you with the buying or selling process.

 

Virtual Showings

Most agents can offer virtual private showings, walking you through a potential home from the comfort of your living room couch.

 

We are Mobile

As real estate agents we work remotely most of the time. Our office is open on an appointment basis if you prefer to meet in person.

 

Financing

Most banks are still doing pre-approvals, processing loans and closings. The process differs at each individual bank so, we suggest you contact your lender to find out what to expect during this process. If you were pre-approved prior to a couple of months ago, check with your bank to ensure you are still pre-approved. Many loan and underwriting requirement have changed.

 

Paperwork & Closing

Our office offers a variety of options for reviewing and signing all of the paperwork that goes along with buying or selling a home. We can meet with you virtually to discuss the paperwork or face to face depending on your preference. Your agent can securely email all your paperwork to sign and send back digitally via DotLoop.

Closings look a little different as well. Most closings are not done roundtable style any longer. The bank or title agency normally will schedule the selling and buying sides at separate times to limit the number of individuals at closing. Some are even doing curbside signings. Your agent and bank can help to guide you through the new process.

 

Our New Normal

Even though the home buying and selling process has changed a little, our agents have adapted to it and it is becoming our new normal.  On an individual basis our buyers or sellers may require the use of masks.
